Pest Control
It has been the practice of this country's agriculture to try to eliminate plant pests through means of poison. Not only has this proven not to work at a substainable level, it has actually decreased the numbers of beneficial insects in many regions.
We must not forget that toxic pesticides are just as toxic to humans and other living things; we are just millions of times the size of plant pests. The role of the plant pest in our ecosystem is quite simple.
When plants become stressed, sick or are not grown in the correct situation they get bugs. Therefore bugs are an indication of the plants health and environment. At Plant'It Earth we advocate pest control through non toxic means and the use of benefical bugs when the growing environment allows.
