Grodan Loose Rockwool

This dynamic growing media is perfect for custom hydroponic systems. Sold in large bales, loose rockwool can be used to fill any size container. Available in absorbent and repellent grades, loose rockwool works best when both grades are mixed equally, or absorbent is mixed with rocks, perlite or soil. Rockwool should be conditioned by soaking for eight hours in a pH 5.0-5.5 and then rinsing with pH 7.0 water for best results. Stonewool 50/50 contains an even mix of absorbent and repellent.
