Daystar AC Phantom Digital HPS Systems

Hydrofarm's Daystar AC offers a 6 inch built in flange for cooling air flow from an optional fan. It offers a higher efficiency and better reflective pattern than anything else available. Packed with numerous features including a double wall cooling construction, this reflector is cool running, compact and lightweight for the ultimate in convenience.

Hydrofarm's Phantom Digital Ballast arrives on the market as the most rigorously tested ballast in the industry.  The Phantom features silent operation, lightweight design, multiple placement options and the maximum lumen output around.  The Phantom has dual resettable breakers which protects the lamp as well as household circuits. All ballasts come with a universal reflector adaptor and 8 ft heavy duty 120 volt power cord included(240 volt power cord sold separately).

The 600 and 1000 watt models come with a "dimmable" feature. This features a button that will drop the bulb down to 60% or 75% power after running at 100% for 10 minutes to get the lights heated properly.

Hydrofarm Daystar AC systems with High Pressure Sodium (HPS) Lamps have initial lumens between 120,000-140,000 lumens and deteriorate slower than metal halide lamps. They are dominant in the red-yellow spectrum and possess minimal amounts of the blue-green spectrum. The 600 watt HPS lamp has the best lumen-watt ratio, making it the most efficient to run.
